Missie Luminar will be a new roller coaster, opening in Efteling (the Netherlands, Europe) in 2029.
In 2029, the Efteling will open Mission Luminar, its first suspended launch coaster. The attraction will take guests on a scientific expedition focused on light, speed, and discovery.
Riders will begin their journey in a research institute before boarding a vehicle with 17 other “missionauts.” The experience starts with a powerful launch and features a ride lasting more than two minutes.
Guests can expect high speeds of up to 80 km/h, several weightless moments, and multiple thrilling elements. The attraction will be themed around 19th-century exploration, scientific experiments, and natural phenomena.
With an investment of €50 million, Mission Luminar will become a major new addition to the Efteling’s entrance area, the Island of the Five Senses.
